FAQs

1.   Why does KS need to raise funds?

We do not receive full funding for our social service & community programmes, and some are not funded at all. There is therefore a need to raise funds to cover the shortfall in our operational costs.

2.   How will the funds raised be used?

All funds raised will go towards supporting the operations and programmes of Kampung Siglap Lifeskills Training and Retreat Centre (KS). KS provides a range of programmes which aim to empower the social service sector to meet the needs of their beneficiaries and staff. You can read more about two of their flagship programmes, Retreat with Hope and Tenang here.

3.   Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes, donations above $50 are eligible for 250% tax deduction. This means that for every $50 you give, $125 will be deducted from your taxable income. For tax deductions, you will need to provide your Full Name and NRIC/ FIN number when you give via our online donation page. Tax deductions for qualifying donations will be automatically reflected in your tax assessment. Tax-deductible receipts will be sent to the email address that you provide us with.
