Team Hope is all about changing one’s life through football. It is hoped that the dedication, commitment and teamwork involved in growing a football team will provide persons-in-crisis with the necessary tools to help them rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate ba...ck into society. A crisis is never an easy path to walk through alone. The homeless and excluded more often than not, are depressed individuals with few friends or loved ones and very low self-esteem. They are individuals who rarely take part in any kind of activity, in essence, rarely taking part in life. Football is something that can be used to lift them up. Football appeals to everyone because at its most basic level, anyone can play -- you don't need any expensive equipment and any field or open area can be used for a game. And once you’re hooked on the game, you aim to play it to the best of your abilities. You watch others, try to copy moves, improve yourself and learn to work with a team, all vital tools needed when rebuilding one’s life. Football is a sport that mirrors life. The joy, pain and the surprises. It’s about more than just scoring points. It’s about dreams and hope. Team Hope.
