New Hope Community Services has been a mentoring agency for the Home Ownership Plus Education (HOPE) Scheme since 2011. Introduced by the then-Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (now the Ministry of Social and Family Development, MSF) in 2004, the HOPE Scheme aims to help young, lower-income parents who choose to keep their families small. It gives these families a head start to improve their socio-economic status by upgrading their skills and investing resources into their children's education.
HOPE Scheme provides financial incentives for employment, housing and education, and also provides mentoring support to guide families as they work towards upgrading themselves.
